Preliminary Procedure

Remove the front door window glass. Refer to Front Side Door Window Replacement .

Front Side Door Outside Handle Cap Screw

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

Procedure

Remove the plug covering the access hole to the screw and remove the front side door outside handle cap screw.

Tighten
3 N·m (27 lb in)

Tip
Pull the outside handle lever outward and hold while removing the cap.

Tighten
9 N·m (80 lb in)

Tip
Disconnect the outside handle rod from the lock assembly before removing the handle.
