Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1336118 Size: SH
  1. Remove the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) hose/pipe assembly. Refer to Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve Cooler Replacement.
  2. Loosen the water pump outlet pipe bolts. Refer to Water Pump Outlet Pipe Replacement.
  3. Remove the five oil filter adapter and oil cooler assembly bolts and nuts.
  4. Remove the water pump outlet pipe, oil filter adapter and oil cooler assembly.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 870004 Size: SH
  1. Install new O-rings (2) to the oil filter adapter and oil cooler assembly.

    2. Lubricate the O-rings with engine oil.

  2. Apply sealer to the O-ring sealing area (1). Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers.

  3. Install the water pump outlet pipe, oil filter adapter and oil cooler assembly.

    4. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  4. Install the oil filter adapter and oil cooler assembly bolts (1) and nuts and tighten to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).
  5. Install the water pump outlet pipe bolts. Refer to Water Pump Outlet Pipe Replacement.
  6. Install the EGR cooler hose/pipe assembly. Refer to Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve Cooler Replacement.
