Mode Door Replacement Upper

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 691841  Size: SH
  1. Remove the IP carrier. Refer to Instrument Panel Carrier Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  2. Remove the heater module cover screws from the heater module (1).
  3. Remove the heater module cover from the module.
  4. Remove the mode door actuator and the linkage (1) Mode Actuator Replacement .
  5. Remove the upper mode door from the heater module (2).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 691841  Size: SH
  1. Install the upper mode door (2) to the heater module (1).
  2. Install the heater module cover to the heater module (1).
  3. Install the heater module cover screws to the heater module (1).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten screws to 1.9 N·m (17 lb in).

  5. Install the upper mode linkage and actuator. Refer to Mode Actuator Replacement .
  6. Install the IP carrier to the vehicle. Refer to Instrument Panel Carrier Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.

Mode Door Replacement Lower

Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the engine coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling in Engine Cooling.
  2. Remove the heater module from the vehicle. Refer to Heater Case Replacement .
  3. Remove the lower mode linkage and actuator. Refer to Mode Actuator Replacement .
  4. Remove the heater module cover screws from the heater module (2).
  5. Remove the heater module cover from the heater module (2).

  6. Object Number: 691852  Size: SH
  7. Remove the lower mode door (1) to the heater module (2).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 691852  Size: SH
  1. Install the lower mode door (1) to the heater module (2).
  2. Install the heater module cover to the heater module (2).
  3. Install the retaining screws into the heater module (2).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten screws to 1.9 N·m (17 lb in).

  5. Install the lower mode linkage and actuator. Refer to Mode Actuator Replacement .
  6. Install the heater module to the vehicle. Refer to Heater Case Replacement .
  7. Fill the engine coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling in Engine Cooling.
