Does the rear power door lock switch perform only the unlock operation?

  1. Disconnect the rear power door lock switch connector.
  2. Connect a J 39200 digital multimeter between pin D for CKT 540 (ORN), and pin B for CKT 195 (LT BLU) of the rear power door lock switch.
  3. Depress the rear power door lock switch to perform the lock operation.

Is continuity present?

Does the rear power door lock switch perform only the lock operation?

--

Go to Step 6

  1. Disconnect the rear power door lock switch connector.
  2. Connect a J 39200 digital multimeter between pin D for CKT 540 (ORN) and pin E for CKT 194 (WHT) of the rear power door lock switch.
  3. Depress the rear power door lock switch to perform the unlock operation.

Is continuity present?

  1. Disconnect the rear power door lock switch connector.
  2. Connect an J 35616-200 unpowered test lamp between rear power door lock switch connector, cavity D for CKT 540 (ORN), and ground.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 9

Repair the open in CKT 195 (LT BLU) between splice S241 and the rear power door lock switch.

Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the rear power door lock switch.

Refer to Door Lock Switch Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

Repair the open in CKT 194 (WHT) between splice S242 and the rear power door lock switch.

Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Repair the open in CKT 540 (ORN) between splice S228 and the rear power door lock switch.

Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?
