Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 333955 Size: SH
  1. Remove the hinge pillar trim. Refer to Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  2. Remove the electrical connectors in the hinge pillar for the door wire harness.
  3. Push the rubber conduit out from the hinge pillar in order to remove the rubber conduit from the hinge pillar.
  4. Remove the wire harness from the hinge pillar.
  5. Remove the check link from the hinge pillar. Refer to Front Side Door Check Link Replacement .
  6. Remove the hinge pin retainers from the hinge pins.
  7. Remove the lower hinge pin (2) using the following method:
    8. 7.1. Grasp the lower hinge pin with a pair of locking pliers.
    7.2. Use a soft-faced hammer in order to drive the lower hinge pin out.
  8. Install a bolt through the lower hinges in order to temporarily hold the door in place while removing the upper hinge pin (2).
  9. Remove the upper hinge pin (2) using the following method:
    10. 9.1. Grasp the upper hinge pin (2) with a pair of locking pliers.
    9.2. Use a soft-faced hammer in order to drive the upper hinge pin (2) out.
  10. Remove the bolt in the lower hinge pin hole.
  11. Remove the door from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 333955 Size: SH
  1. Install the door to the vehicle.
  2. Install a bolt through the lower hinges in order to temporarily hold the door in place while installing the upper hinge pin (2).
  3. Drive the upper hinge pin (2) into the upper hinge using a soft-faced hammer with the pointed end up.
  4. Remove the temporary bolt from the lower hinge.

    5. Drive the lower hinge pin (2) into the lower hinge using a soft-faced hammer with the pointed end down.

  5. Install the hinge pin retainers to the hinge pins.
  6. Install the check link to the hinge pillar. Refer to Front Side Door Check Link Replacement .
  7. Install the wire harness to the hinge pillar.
  8. Push the rubber conduit into the hole in the hinge pillar.
  9. Install the electrical connectors for the front door wire harness.
  10. Install the hinge pillar trim. Refer to Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
