Removal Procedure
- Remove the front door
trim panel. Refer to
Door Trim Panel Replacement
.
- Remove the front door rear garnish. Refer to
Front Side Door Rear Garnish Molding Replacement
.
- Remove the front door water deflector. Refer to
Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement
.
- Lower the front door window (1).
- Remove the inner window sealing strip. Refer to
Front Side Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement
.
- Remove the outer window sealing strip. Refer to
Outer Belt Sealing Strip Replacement
.
- Remove the bolt that retains the rear run channel to the door.
- Remove the front run channel from the door. Refer to
Window Channel Replacement
.
- Raise the front door window (1) approximately half way in order
to access the nuts (2) that retain the front door window to the sash. Access
the nuts through the holes in the front door module.
- Remove the nuts (2) that retain the front door window (1) to the
sash.
- Remove the front door window (1) from the door from the outer
side of the vehicle.
- Remove the front door window (1) from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Install the
front door window (1) to the vehicle.
- Install the front door window (1) to the door from the outside
of the vehicle.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the nuts
(2) in order to retain the front door window (1) to the sash.
Tighten
Tighten the retaining nuts to 11 N·m (97 lb in).
Important: Before raising or lowering the front door window (1), ensure that the
front door window (1) is properly aligned in the rear run channel.
- Lower the front door window (1).
- Install the front run channel to the door. Refer to
Window Channel Replacement
.
- Install the bolt in order to retain the front run channel to the
door.
- Install the inner window sealing strip. Refer to
Front Side Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement
.
- Install the outer window sealing strip. Refer to
Outer Belt Sealing Strip Replacement
.
- Install the front door water deflector. Refer to
Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement
.
- Install the front door rear garnish. Refer to
Front Side Door Rear Garnish Molding Replacement
.
- Install the front door trim panel. Refer to
Door Trim Panel Replacement
.
