  1. Disconnect the heater and A/C controller connector C3.
  2. Connect an J 35616-200 unpowered test lamp between the heater and A/C controller connector C3 cavity D and ground.
  3. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.

Does the test lamp light?

Repair the short to B+ in CKT 267 (ORN) between the heater and A/C controller connector C3 cavity D and the power outside rearview mirror(s) or the rear window defogger relay cavity A1.

Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Replace the heater and A/C controller.
