  1. Disconnect the power door lock control module connector.
  2. Connect an J 35616-200 unpowered test lamp between the power door lock control module, cavity G for CKT 540 (ORN), and ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Connect a J 39200 digital multimeter between the power door lock control module connector, cavity A for CKT 150 (BLK), and ground.

Is continuity present?

--

  1. Close the side door.
  2. Connect a J 39200 digital multimeter between the power door lock control module connector, cavity F for CKT 158 (WHT/BLK), and ground.

Is continuity present?

  1. Disconnect the side door jamb switch connector.
  2. Connect a J 39200 digital multimeter between the power door lock control module connector, cavity F for CKT 158 (WHT/BLK), and ground.

Is continuity present?

  1. Connect an J 35616-200 unpowered test lamp between the power door lock control module connector, cavity C for CKT 195 (LT BLU), and ground.
  2. Depress any power door lock switch to perform the lock operation.

Does the test lamp light?

Repair the open in CKT 540 (ORN) between splice S228 and the power door lock control module.

Repair the open in CKT 150 (BLK) between the power door lock control module and ground.

Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Repair the short to ground in CKT 158 (WHT/BLK) between the power door lock control module and the side door jamb switch.

Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Replace the side door jamb switch.

Repair the open in CKT 195 (LT BLU) between splice S241 and the power door lock control module connector, cavity C.
