🢒 Coolant Bypass Hose Replacement
Removal Procedure
Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery terminal. Refer to
Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
.
Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to
Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement
or
Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement
or
Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement
or
Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement
.
Drain the engine cooling system. Refer to
Cooling System Draining and Filling
.
Remove the coolant recovery reservoir/surge tank. Refer to
Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement
or
Surge Tank (Diesel) Replacement
.
Remove the upper fan shroud. Refer to
Fan Shroud Replacement
.
Disconnect the by-pass hose from the water pump. For vehicles with the 4.3L and 5.0/5.7L engines.
Disconnect the by-pass hose from the water pump. For vehicles with the 7.4L engine.
Disconnect the by-pass hose from the water pump. For vehicles with the 6.5L diesel engine.
Remove the by-pass hose from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
Install the by-pass hose to the vehicle.
Connect the by-pass hose to the water pump. For vehicles with the 6.5L diesel engine.
Connect the by-pass hose to the water pump. For vehicles with the 7.4L engine.
Connect the by-pass hose to the water pump. For vehicles with the 4.3L and 5.0/5.7L engines.
Install the upper fan shroud. Refer to
Fan Shroud Replacement
.
Install the coolant recovery reservoir/surge tank. Refer to
Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement
or
Surge Tank (Diesel) Replacement
.
Refill the engine cooling system. Refer to
Cooling System Draining and Filling
.
Install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to
Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement
or
Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement
or
Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement
or
Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement
.
Connect the negative battery cable to the battery terminal. Refer to
Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
