Makes 🢒 Chevrolet 🢒 2000 🢒 Express 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Cooling 🢒 Coolant Bypass Hose Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery terminal. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  2. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement or Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement or Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement or Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
  3. Drain the engine cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  4. Remove the coolant recovery reservoir/surge tank. Refer to Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement or Surge Tank (Diesel) Replacement .
  5. Remove the upper fan shroud. Refer to Fan Shroud Replacement .

    6. Object Number: 71614 Size: SH
  6. Disconnect the by-pass hose from the water pump. For vehicles with the 4.3L and 5.0/5.7L engines.

    7. Object Number: 347535 Size: SH
  7. Disconnect the by-pass hose from the water pump. For vehicles with the 7.4L engine.

    8. Object Number: 332048 Size: SH
  8. Disconnect the by-pass hose from the water pump. For vehicles with the 6.5L diesel engine.
  9. Remove the by-pass hose from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the by-pass hose to the vehicle.

    2. Object Number: 332048 Size: SH
  2. Connect the by-pass hose to the water pump. For vehicles with the 6.5L diesel engine.

    3. Object Number: 347535 Size: SH
  3. Connect the by-pass hose to the water pump. For vehicles with the 7.4L engine.

    4. Object Number: 71614 Size: SH
  4. Connect the by-pass hose to the water pump. For vehicles with the 4.3L and 5.0/5.7L engines.
  5. Install the upper fan shroud. Refer to Fan Shroud Replacement .
  6. Install the coolant recovery reservoir/surge tank. Refer to Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement or Surge Tank (Diesel) Replacement .
  7. Refill the engine cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  8. Install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement or Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement or Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement or Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
  9. Connect the negative battery cable to the battery terminal. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
