Preliminary Procedures

1. Disable the supplemental inflatable restraint (SIR) system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
2. Remove the shift control lever knob. Refer to Transmission Control Lever Knob Replacement .
3. Remove the console. Refer to Console Replacement .
4. Remove the shift control. Refer to Transmission Control Replacement .

Tighten
25 N·m (18 lb ft)
