For 1990-2009 cars only
With this feature, all the doors will automatically lock when the shift lever is moved out of PARK (P) if the ignition is in the run position and all doors are closed. Otherwise, the doors will automatically lock if the vehicle is going faster than 3 mph (5 km/h).
In the following two situations, all doors will lock again when:
| • | The brake pedal is applied, a door is opened and then closed, and the brake pedal is released. |
| • | A door is opened and closed without the brake pedal applied while the vehicle is moving faster than 3 mph (5 km/h). |
This feature cannot be disabled.
