Removal Procedure
Important: Record all preset radio stations.
- Turn the ignition OFF.
- Remove the screws from the battery cooling box. Remove the battery cover.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to
Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
In Engine Electrical.
- Disconnect the positive battery cable.
- Remove the console. Refer to
Console Replacement
in Instrument
Panel, Gages, and Console.
- Remove the nut holding the following fuse block
connectors to the back of the I/P fuse block (4):
• | The body 68-way connector (1) |
• | The I/P 68-way connector (2) |
• | The I/P 24-way connector (3) |
- Remove the bolt holding the fuse block into place.
- Remove the ground wire (1).
- Remove the fuse block.
Installation Procedure
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
- Install the fuse block and attach the ground wire (1) and attach the
bolt.
Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
- Connect the harness connectors to the back of
the I/P fuse block (4).
Tighten
Tighten the connectors to 4 N·m (35 lb in).
- Install the console. Refer to
Console Replacement
in Instrument
Panel, Gages, and Console.
- Connect the positive battery cable.
Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 17 N·m (13 lb ft).
- Connect the negative battery cable.
Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 17 N·m (13 lb ft).
- Install the battery cooling box cover and install the screws.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).
- Set the radio stations to the preset selections.
