Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 927081 Size: SH
  1. Remove the catalytic converter. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement .

    2. Important: The front and rear heat shields overlap and utilize common rivet attachment points.

  2. Using a drill and a 1/8 inch drill bit, remove the heat shield rivets.
  3. Remove the heat shield nut.
  4. Remove the heat shield.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 927081 Size: SH
  1. Position the shield to the vehicle, aligning the front hole stud. Place the rear of the shield under the rear shield and against the underbody.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the heat shield nut.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  3. Install the NEW heat shield rivets.
  4. Install the catalytic converter. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement .
