Power Steering Gear Inlet Pipe/Hose Replacement LS9
Removal Procedure
Place drain pans under the vehicle as needed.
Disconnect the power steering gear inlet hose (1) from the power steering pump.
Disconnect the power steering gear inlet hose (1) from the steering gear.
Maneuver the power steering gear inlet hose as needed and remove it from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
Maneuver the power steering gear inlet hose as needed and position it to the vehicle.
Note:
Hand start all power steering gear inlet hose connectors before finalizing any torques.
Connect the power steering gear inlet hose (1) to the steering gear and tighten to
27 N·m (20 lb ft)
.
Connect the power steering gear inlet hose (1) to the power steering pump.
Clean any excess power steering fluid from the vehicle and remove the drain pans.
Fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to
