Removal Procedure
Remove the power steering pump pulley. Refer to
Power Steering Pump Pulley Replacement
.
Place drain pans under the vehicle as needed.
Remove as much power steering fluid from the remote power steering fluid reservoir as possible.
Disconnect the power steering gear inlet hose (1) from the power steering pump.
Compress the power steering fluid reservoir inlet hose clamp (1).
Disconnect the power steering fluid reservoir inlet hose (2) from the power steering pump.
Remove the power steering pump bracket bolts (1).
Remove the power steering pump bracket (2).
Transfer the power steering pump if necessary. Refer to
Power Steering Pump Replacement
.
Installation Procedure
Position the power steering pump bracket (2) to the vehicle.
Note:
Start all bolts by hand before finalizing any torques.
Install the power steering pump bracket bolts (1) and tighten to
50 N·m (37 lb ft)
.
Compress the power steering fluid reservoir inlet hose clamp (1).
Connect the power steering fluid reservoir inlet hose (2) to the power steering pump and release the clamp.
Connect the power steering gear inlet hose (1) to the power steering pump and tighten to
27 N·m (20 lb ft)
.
Install the power steering pump pulley. Refer to
Power Steering Pump Pulley Replacement
.
Clean any excess power steering fluid from the vehicle and remove the drain pans.
Fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to
Power Steering System Bleeding
.
