The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
A dealer may encounter a 2007 Z06 Corvette setting lean Diagnostic Trouble Codes P0171 and P0174.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Complete the current SI diagnostics for any trouble code or symptom found. If diagnostics are inconclusive and the fuel trims show a lean condition at either steady throttle or deceleration, continue with the information found in this PI.
There has been an updated calibration released to address P0171 and P0174 when it occurs during steady throttle driving or deceleration. Update the calibration and evaluate the customer concern.
If fuel trims are still showing a lean condition, monitor the MAF sensor operation, and compare the readings to a like vehicle. If the MAF sensor readings are not the same as a like vehicle, replace the MAF sensor. Evaluate the repairs after replacing the MAF sensor.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
