The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Some customers may comment of a stain on the rear tonneau lid noticed when the roof is retracted (Refer to the illustration above) and the tonneau is exposed. This is caused by the rear glass sunshade bleeding its dye onto the rear tonneau and the paint absorbing this dye due to the paint curing process at Bowling Green Assembly. This will typically be noticed on lighter colored vehicles however it may occur on any color vehicle.

To correct this concern, refinish the rear tonneau using the procedures below. When refinishing the tonneau in the dealer environment, this concern does not return.

1. Wet sand the affected area.

2. Refinish with appropriate vehicle color.

3. Allow to dry.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
