Manual Transmission Shift Lever May Rattle - keywords knob loose MM6 noise transmission vibration YB

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Some customers may comment of a rattle noise from the manual sift lever. This concern can be intermittent however when present, can be eliminated by squeezing the shifter knob or applying pressure to the shifter knob itself.

Engineering is aware of this concern and is working on a repair. At this time, DO NOT replace any parts for this concern. This PI will be updated when a fix for this concern becomes available.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
