Subject: | Service VME - Chevrolet Corvette Required Training |
Models: | 2006 Chevrolet Corvette |
The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
This is a service VME to all Chevrolet dealers regarding Corvette required training. All Corvette dealers are required to have completed the Aluminum welding courses required for Corvette certification or have a sublet agreement on file by December 31, 2006 to maintain Corvette allocation. Any dealership still needing to attend the Aluminum welding courses will have several opportunities in the next couple of months. In addition to the normally scheduled welding courses, I-CAR is running "rodeos" which are locally available traveling training sessions for the WCA01, 02, and 03 courses. These rodeos deliver several sessions back to back, with extended student capacity in each session. Once a rodeo comes to your town it is not likely to come back again. The regularly scheduled i-car sessions will continue to be available. Currently scheduled for June, July and August are rodeos in Bethlehem PA, Lafayette LA, Bradenton FL, Rochester NY, And Dallas TX. Additional rodeos are currently being scheduled in August for Dayton and Chicago. These courses require pre-registration. So you must go to www.i-car.com to pre-register, or to get additional information on the body structural training that i-car offers to support GM Training requirements. This is Art Spong Brand Quality Manager for Corvette. Remember you can verify your training needs by checking the web site at www.gmtraining.com
