Beginning with all 2006 Corvettes built after February 1, 2006, and the last eight of the VIN number 65116831, the Bowling Green Assembly Center has disconnected the underhood lamp at the connector on the right hand side of the radiator. This action is
being implemented to help prevent battery run down. A dealer VME was sent to participating dealers February 1, 2006. A dealer information notice is being placed in the interior of the vehicle to remind dealerships to reconnect the underhood lamp as part of the
pre-delivery inspection (PDI) process. Reconnecting the lamp is considered part of the PDI process and is included in the allotted time to complete the PDI process. Additional warranty claims should not be submitted to make this connection.
