Service VME - Under Hood Lamp Inoperative- keywords connector front light off

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

This is a service VME for all Chevrolet dealers regarding under hood lamps for 2006 Chevrolet Corvettes. Beginning with 2006 Corvettes built after Feb 1, 2006, and the last eight of the VIN number 65116831 The Bowling Green Assembly Center has disconnected the under hood lamp at the connector on the right hand side of the radiator. This action is being implemented to help prevent battery run down. A dealer information note is being placed in the interior of the vehicle to remind dealerships to reconnect the under hood lamp as part of the Pre-delivery inspection process. The connector is taped with yellow tape to highlight the connection and to prevent water and dust intrusion. Please make the individuals that are responsible for completing the pre-delivery process aware of this change

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
