Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 289910  Size: SH
  1. Position the top with the #1 bow and the #5 bow up.
  2. Refer to Folding Top Stowage Compartment Lid Extension in Interior Trim.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the latch.

  4. Object Number: 214150  Size: SH
  5. Remove the latch bolts from the latch retainer.
  6. Remove the latch.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 214150  Size: SH
  1. Position the latch to the retainer and finger-tighten the bolts.
  2. Adjust the latch using the following procedures:
  3. • Adjust the latch up or down to make the lid flush.
    • Adjust the latch side to side gap from the lid to the quarter panels.

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Tighten the latch bolts.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  6. Connect the electrical connector to the latch.
  7. Route the manual release cable down over the intermediate carpet. Position the end of the cable on the rear floor carpet.
  8. Refer To Folding Top Stowage Compartment Lid Extension in Interior Trim.
  9. Close the lid and position the folding top to the original position.
