Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 721300  Size: SH
  1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
  3. Remove the wheelhouse panel. Refer to Wheelhouse Panel Replacement .
  4. Remove the brake caliper cooling duct.

  5. Object Number: 721302  Size: SH
  6. Remove the 4 brake caliper cooling air scoop nuts.

  7. Object Number: 721304  Size: SH
  8. Remove the brake caliper cooling air scoop.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 721304  Size: SH
  1. Install the brake caliper cooling air scoop.

  2. Object Number: 721302  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the 4 brake caliper cooling air scoop nuts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the brake caliper cooling air scoop nuts to 3 N·m (27 lb in).

  5. Install the brake caliper cooling duct.
  6. Install the wheelhouse panel. Refer to Wheelhouse Panel Replacement .
  7. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
  8. Lower the vehicle.
