Lumbar Support System Components
The lumbar support system consists of the following components:

| • | The driver seat lumbar pump and module |
| • | The passenger seat pump and module |
| • | The driver seat lumbar and side bladders |
| • | The passenger seat lumbar and side bladders |
Lumbar Support System Operation
Lumbar pump operation is controlled through relays in the lumbar module.
Battery positive voltage from the instrument panel electrical center is supplied
to the lumbar module and is used for pump operation. Battery positive voltage
from the instrument panel electrical center is supplied to the lumbar control
switches and is used to energize the relay coils. When a lumbar switch is
pressed voltage is supplied to the control circuit which supplies the inflate
or deflate relay coil and the pressure switch relay coil. Either the inflate
or deflate relay along with the pressure switch relay must be energized in
order for pump operation to occur. The lumbar control circuits are also used
to control valves in the air lines from the lumbar pump to the seat lumbar
and side bladders.
