Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 95715  Size: SH
  1. Remove the console. Refer to Console Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  2. Remove the IP accessory trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel Accessory Trim Plate Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  3. Remove the driver knee bolster trim panel. Refer to Driver Knee Bolster Panel Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  4. Remove the ignition switch bezel.
  5. Carefully pull from the top to unsnap.

  6. Remove the ignition switch retaining bolts.
  7. Remove the ignition switch from the ignition switch housing bracket and reposition the switch.
  8. Reposition the ignition switch to better access the coaxial cable.

  9. Remove the screws retaining the radio control to the IP center support bracket.
  10. Begin to remove the radio control from the center support bracket in order to access the coaxial cable.

  11. Object Number: 65101  Size: SH
  12. Disconnect the radio control coaxial cable from the radio control.
  13. Separate the radio control coaxial cable from the IP wiring harness along the IP lower support beam.

  14. Object Number: 65102  Size: SH
  15. Remove the IP left lower insulator panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  16. Remove the coaxial cable from the insulation tape along the hinge pillar.

  17. Object Number: 65103  Size: SH
  18. Remove the left door sill plate. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement in Interior Trim.
  19. Remove the left lock pillar trim. Refer to Body Lock Pillar Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  20. Disconnect the radio control coaxial cable from the antenna module.
  21. Release the IP wiring harness from the body retaining clips.
  22. Remove the IP wiring harness push-in retainers from the floor panel support.
  23. Separate the radio control coaxial cable from the front windshield antenna coaxial cable and the IP wiring harness.
  24. Remove the radio control coaxial cable.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 65101  Size: SH
  1. Install the radio control coaxial cable into position in the vehicle.
  2. Tape the radio control coaxial cable to the IP wiring harness along the IP lower support beam.
  3. Connect the radio control coaxial cable to the radio control.

  4. Object Number: 65092  Size: SH
  5. Align the radio control locator tab to the IP center support bracket locator hole.
  6. Install the radio control.

  7. Object Number: 65091  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  8. Install the radio control retaining screws.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the radio control retaining screws to 2.5 N·m (22 lb in).

  10. Install the ignition switch to the ignition switch housing bracket.
  11. Install the ignition switch retaining bolts.
  12. Tighten
    Tighten the ignition switch retaining bolts to 5.5 N·m (49 lb in).

  13. Install the ignition switch bezel to the switch.
  14. Align the bezel slots to the switch pins, then push to secure.

  15. Install the coaxial cable to the insulation tape along the hinge pillar.
  16. Install the IP left lower insulator panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.

  17. Object Number: 65103  Size: SH
  18. Tape the radio control coaxial cable to the front windshield antenna coaxial cable and the IP wiring harness.
  19. Install the IP wiring harness push-in retainers to the floor panel support.
  20. Secure the IP wiring harness to the body retaining clips.
  21. Connect the coaxial cable to the antenna module.
  22. Install the left lock pillar trim. Refer to Body Lock Pillar Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  23. Install the left door sill plate. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement in Interior Trim.
  24. Install the driver knee bolster trim panel. Refer to Driver Knee Bolster Panel Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  25. Install the IP accessory trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel Accessory Trim Plate Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  26. Install the console. Refer to Console Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
