Probable Cause

Action

The engine mounts are loose or damaged.

  1. Inspect the engine mounts.
  2. Tighten to specifications or replace as necessary.

Refer to Crankshaft Balancer Replacement and Engine Mount Replacement - Right Side in Engine Mechanical.

The clutch driven plate hub is defective.

  1. Inspect the clutch driven plate hub for damage.
  2. Replace the clutch driven plate, if necessary.

Refer to Clutch Pressure Plate and Clutch Driven Plate in Clutch.

One or both of the wheel drive shaft inner joints is worn or damaged.

  1. Inspect the wheel drive shaft inner joint seals for damage.
  2. Inspect the wheel drive shaft inner joints for looseness or damage.
  3. Replace the wheel drive shaft inner joint or complete drive shaft, as necessary.

The rear axle differential shaft is worn in the case.

  1. Inspect the rear axle differential.
  2. Repair or replace the rear axle differential as necessary.
