Removal Procedure

Notice: To prevent equipment damage, never connect or disconnect the wiring harness connection from the EBCM with the ignition switch in the ON position.

  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling in Engine Cooling.
  2. Disconnect and remove the radiator inlet hose. Refer to Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement in Engine Cooling.

  3. Object Number: 705573  Size: SH
  4. Loosen the two retaining nuts (1) and carefully reposition the EBCM to access the brake pressure sensor (2).
  5. Disconnect the brake pressure sensor electrical connector.
  6. Remove the brake pressure sensor from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

Notice: To prevent equipment damage, never connect or disconnect the wiring harness connection from the EBCM with the ignition switch in the ON position.

  1. Install the brake pressure sensor to the EBCM in the vehicle.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the pressure switch to 22 N·m (16 lb ft).

  3. Connect the brake pressure sensor electrical connector.

  4. Object Number: 705573  Size: SH
  5. Position the EBCM back into the support bracket and tighten the retaining nuts (1).
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the retaining nuts to 10 N·m (10 lb ft).

  7. Install and connect the radiator inlet hose. Refer to Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement in Engine Cooling.
  8. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling in Engine Cooling.
  9. Perform the Diagnostic System Check - ABS to verify the repair.
