Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the mass air flow (MAF) sensor electrical connector, if necessary.
  2. Remove the engine wiring harness from the clip on the radiator shroud.

  3. Object Number: 179304  Size: SH
  4. Remove the air cleaner intake duct.

  5. Object Number: 64027  Size: SH

    Important: Note the position of the radiator upper support in relationship to the fan shroud. This must be reassembled correctly in order to retain the fan shroud.

  6. Remove the radiator support bolts.
  7. Remove the radiator support.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 64027  Size: SH
  1. Install the radiator support.

  2. Object Number: 411880  Size: SH
  3. Position the radiator support between the plastic guides located on the top center of the fan shroud.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the radiator support bolts.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the radiator support bolts to 8 N·m (71 lb in).

  7. Tuck the outboard corners of the lower cooling baffle under the radiator support until it locks into place.

    Important: Seat the air cleaner retaining grommets fully. If necessary moisten the grommets with water prior to installation.

  9. Install the air cleaner intake duct.

  10. Object Number: 74086  Size: SH
  11. Install the engine wiring harness to the clip on the radiator shroud.
  12. Connect the MAF sensor electrical connector.
