Rattle from the front roof attachments.
Latch striker out of adjustment.
Road test on a rough road. Open the latch part way to increase the clamping pressure on the striker. Listen for the rattle to be eliminated.
Adjust the striker angle by moving the outboard edge of the striker downward to increase the clamping pressure when the latch is fully closed.
Rattle from the rear side of the roof.
Flipper door is contacting the roof balance bar.
Road test with the top up. Test by wedging an insulator between the flipper door and the roof bar to eliminate the noise.
Wrap the balance bar, where the flipper door rubs the bar, with the loop portion of hook and loop fastener material.
Creaking sound from the rear side of the convertible top with the top up.
Flipper door hinge creaking.
Road test and listen for noise. Or open the flipper door and twist the door slightly and listen for creak.

• | Check fit of cloth on the roof. |
Creaking from the convertible top near driver's or passenger's head.
The coating on the adjustment screw head has worn off allowing the metal screw to contact the folding top rail.

Road test and listen for the noise and/or grasp the roof panel and check for movement.
Adjust the hook on the rear latch inward one turn, then retest. If this does not correct the problem, then move the ball socket receiver. Refer to Roof Lift Off Panel Adjustment in Roof.
A ticking or an itching sound from the removable roof panel front latch area.
Stainless steel retainer is loose, corroded, or needs lubricated.
