J 28458 Power Piston Seal Protector and Diaphragm Retainer Installer
Depress both tabs on the connector and pull straight up; do not pry the connector.

12.1. | Use the small end of the J 28458 over the top of the connector. |
12.2. | Twist in order to release the four tabs retaining the connector. |
12.3. | Pull the harness connector down through the transmission case. |

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Tighten
• | Tighten the control valve body retaining bolts to 11 N·m (97 lb in). |
• | Tighten the TCC solenoid retaining bolts to 11 N·m (97 lb in). |
Ensure that the electrical tabs are facing outboard.
Tighten
Tighten the pressure control solenoid retaining bolt to 11 N·m
(97 lb in).

Align the arrows on each half of the connector and insert straight down.
