  1. Disconnect the Remote CD Player connector.
  2. Connect a test light between the Remote CD Player connector terminal 5 and ground.

Does the test light illuminate?

--

Go to Step 4

Repair the open or high resistance in circuit 440.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Step 9

Connect a test light between the Remote CD Player connector terminal 5 and terminal 7.

Does the test light illuminate?

--

Go to Step 6

Repair the open or high resistance in the ground circuit 351.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Step 9

  1. Disconnect the Radio connector C2.
  2. Remote compact disc player still disconnected.
  3. Test the Remote CD Player output circuits 367, 368, and 372 for the following conditions:
  4. • Open or high resistance.
    • Short to ground.
    • Short to voltage.
    • Continuity between any of the circuits.

Test the E & C Data Buss circuit 835 for the following conditions:

    • Open or high resistance
    • Short to ground
    • Short to voltage

Replace the Remote CD Player. Refer to Remote CD Changer Replacement .
