Removal Procedure
- Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Door Trim Panel Replacement .
- Remove the screw from the front of the sealing strip.
- Slide the strip rearward.
- Pull the sealing strip retainers from the holes in the door.
Installation Procedure
- Align the sealing strip retainers to the slots in the door.
- Push the retainers into the slots and slide the sealing strip forward seating the retainers.
- Install the screw in the forward hole.
- Install the door trim panel. Refer to Door Trim Panel Replacement .
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Tighten
Tighten the window outer sealing strip screw to 1.8 N·m
(16 lb in).
