  1. Connect a DMM between the inoperative IP (LH/RH) courtesy lamp connector terminal B and ground.
  2. Measure for continuity to ground in the CKT 150.

Is the CKT 150 continuous to ground?

--

Go to Step 4

Repair CKT 150 for an open or a short to battery voltage.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Interior Lamps System Check

  1. Connect the DMM between the inoperative IP (LH/RH) courtesy lamp connector terminal A and ground.
  2. Remove the Courtesy LP Micro Relay #42 from the Instrument Panel Electrical Center.
  3. Connect a fuse jumper between the CKT 740 terminal and the BAT terminal in the Instrument Panel Electrical Center which is used for the CTSY LP MicroRelay #42.
  4. Measure the available voltage at the lamp connector.

Is the measured voltage within the specified value?

10.0-14.0V

Check the C/LALDL MiniFuse ® #29 for an open.

Is the fuse open?

Repair CKT 740 for an open.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Interior Lamps System Check

Repair CKT 740 for a short to ground.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Interior Lamps System Check

Replace the IP courtesy lamp.

Refer to Instrument Panel Courtesy Lamp Bulb Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

  1. Connect a DMM between the inoperative rear (LH/RH) courtesy lamp connector terminal B and ground.
  2. Measure for continuity to ground in the CKT 150.

Is the CKT 150 continuous to ground?

Repair CKT 150 for an open or a short to battery voltage.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Connect the DMM between the inoperative rear (LH/RH) courtesy lamp connector terminal A and ground.
  2. Remove the Courtesy LP Micro Relay #42 from the Instrument Panel Electrical Center.
  3. Connect a fuse jumper between the CKT 740 terminal and the BAT terminal in the Instrument Panel Electrical Center which is used for the Courtesy LP Micro Relay #42.
  4. Measure the available voltage at the lamp connector.

Is the measured voltage within the specified value?

10.0-14.0V
