Are both the LH/RH foglamps inoperative?

--

Go to Fog Lamps Inoperative - All

Go to Step 3

  1. Disconnect the BCM connector C1.
  2. Disconnect the fog lamp/rear compartment lid release switch (domestic) or the fog lamp switch (export) connector.
  3. Connect a DMM from the fog lamp/rear compartment lid release switch (domestic) or the fog lamp switch (export) connector terminal 5 to ground.
  4. Connect a fused jumper (10 A) from the BCM connector C1 terminal B4 to ground.
  5. Measure the voltage at the fog lamp/rear compartment lid release switch (domestic) or the fog lamp switch (export) connector terminal 5.

Is the voltage within the specified values?

10.0-14.0V

Go to Step 5

Repair the open in CKT 34.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Fog Lights System Check

  1. Disconnect BCM connector C3.
  2. Connect the DMM between the BCM connector C3 terminal B4 and the fog lamp/rear compartment lid release switch (domestic) or the fog lamp switch (export) connector terminal 3.
  3. Measure CKT 183 for continuity between the BCM connector C3 terminal B4 and the fog lamp/rear compartment lid release switch (domestic) or the fog lamp switch (export) connector terminal 3.

Is CKT 183 continuous between these two terminals?

Repair the open in CKT 183.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Fog Lights System Check

  1. Reconnect the fog lamp/rear compartment lid release switch (domestic) or the fog lamp switch (export) connector.
  2. Connect a fused jumper (10 A) from the BCM connector C1 terminal B4 to ground.
  3. Connect a fused jumper (10 A) from the BCM connector C3 terminal B4 to ground.

Does the front fog lamp indicator illuminate?

Go to Step 9

Go to Step 8

Replace the fog lamp/rear compartment lid release switch (domestic) or the fog lamp switch (export).

Refer to Fog Lamp Switch Replacement Rear Compartment Lid Switch Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

Replace the BCM.

Refer to Body Control Module Replacement Body Control Module (BCM) Programming/RPO Configuration .

  1. Disconnect the BCM connector C1.
  2. Disconnect the fog lamp switch connector.
  3. Connect a DMM from the fog lamp switch connector terminal 4 to ground.
  4. Connect a fused jumper (10 A) from the BCM connector C1 terminal B3 to ground.
  5. Measure the voltage at the fog lamp switch connector terminal 4.

Is the voltage within the specified values?

10.0-14.0V

Repair the open in CKT 122.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Disconnect BCM connector C3.
  2. Connect the DMM between the BCM connector C3 terminal B4 and the fog lamp switch connector terminal 3.
  3. Measure CKT 183 for continuity between the BCM connector C3 terminal B4 and the fog lamp switch connector terminal 3.

Is CKT 183 continuous between these two terminals?

Go to Step 7

Repair the open in CKT 183.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Fog Lights System Check

  1. Reconnect the fog lamp switch connector.
  2. Connect a fused jumper (10 A) from the BCM connector C1 terminal B3 to ground.
  3. Connect a fused jumper (10 A) from the BCM connector C3 terminal B4 to ground.

Does the rear fog lamp indicator illuminate?

Go to Step 9

Replace the fog lamp switch.

Replace the BCM.
