  1. Connect a DMM between the inoperative IP storage compartment lamp connector terminal B and ground.
  2. Measure for continuity to ground in the CKT 150.

Is the CKT 150 continuous to ground?

--

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 3

Repair CKT 150 for an open.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Interior Lamps System Check

  1. Connect the DMM between the inoperative IP storage compartment lamp connector terminal A and ground.
  2. Remove the CTSY LP Micro Relay #42 from the Instrument Panel Electrical Center.
  3. Connect a fuse jumper between the BAT terminal and the CKT 740 terminal (which is used for the CTSY LP Micro Relay #42) in the Instrument Panel Electrical Center.
  4. Measure the available voltage at the IP storage compartment lamp connector.

Is the measured voltage within the specified value?

10.0-14.0V

Check the C/LALDL MiniFuse ® #29 for an open circuit.

Is the fuse open?

Repair CKT 740 for an open.

Is the repair complete?

Repair CKT 740 for a short to ground.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Interior Lamps System Check

Replace the IP storage compartment lamp.

Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Lamp Replacement .
