Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 64008 Size: SH
  1. Remove the brake rotor. Refer to Brake Rotor Replacement - Rear in Disc Brakes.
  2. Remove the wheel bearing/hub. Refer to Rear Wheel Bearing and Hub Replacement in Rear Suspension.
  3. Rotate the parking brake adjusting nut until the bolt is in the closed position.
  4. Remove the parking brake shoe retaining spring.

    5. Object Number: 64007 Size: SH
  5. Remove the parking brake shoe assembly.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 64007 Size: SH
  1. Install the parking brake shoe assembly.

    2. Object Number: 64008 Size: SH
  2. Install the parking brake shoe retaining spring.
  3. Adjust the parking brake shoe-to-drum clearance. Refer to Parking Brake Shoe Adjustment .
  4. Install the wheel bearing/hub. Refer to Rear Wheel Bearing and Hub Replacement in Rear Suspension.
  5. Install the brake rotor. Refer to Brake Rotor Replacement - Rear in Disc Brakes.
