Removal Procedure
- Disconnect the brake pressure
differential sensor electrical connector from the side of the brake combination
valve.
- Disconnect the brake pressure modulator sensor electrical connector
from the front of the brake combination valve.
- Plug the brake pipes to prevent contamination, dirt or fluids
from entering the system.
- Remove the brake pipes from both sides of the of the valve.
Installation Procedure
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the brake
combination valve to the brake pipes.
Tighten
Tighten the brake pipe tube nuts to 18 N·m (13 lb ft).
- Connect the brake pressure modulator sensor electrical connector
to the front of the brake combination valve.
- Connect the brake pressure differential sensor electrical connector
to the side of the brake combination valve.
- Refill the master cylinder reservoir.
- Bleed the hydraulic brake system. Refer to
Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding
