Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 99640  Size: SH
  1. Remove the intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Replacement in Engine Mechanical.
  2. Remove the Engine Oil Pressure (EOP) sensor electrical connector.

  3. Object Number: 99641  Size: SH

    Important: Clean the area around the EOP sensor before removal. This avoids debris from entering the engine.

  4. Remove the EOP sensor.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 99641  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the new EOP sensor.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the EOP sensor to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  3. Install the EOP sensor electrical connector.
  4. Install the intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Replacement in Engine Mechanical.
  5. Perform the idle learn procedure. Refer to PCM Idle Learn Procedure .
  6. Program the transmitters. Refer to Transmitter Programming/Synchronization in Keyless Entry.
