Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 63114  Size: SH
  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Disconnect and plug the transmission oil cooler lines at the rear of the engine block on the right hand side of the engine, if equipped.
  3. Disconnect the transmission oil cooler lines from the retaining clip at the rear of the engine block on the right side of the engine, if equipped.
  4. Disconnect the engine oil level sensor electrical connector.
  5. Remove the engine oil level sensor.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the engine oil level sensor.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the engine oil level sensor to 13 N·m (115 lb in).

  3. Connector the engine oil level sensor electrical connector.
  4. Unplug and connect and the transmission oil cooler lines at the rear of the engine block on the right hand side of the engine, if equipped. Refer to Fastener Tightening Specifications in Automatic Transmission.
  5. Connect the transmission oil cooler lines to the retaining clip at the rear of the engine block on the right side of the engine, if equipped. Refer to Fastener Tightening Specifications in Automatic Transmission.
  6. Lower the vehicle.
