Drive Belt Tensioner Replacement Air Conditioning

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 74089  Size: SH
  1. Remove the accessory drive belt (5). Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
  2. Remove the air conditioning drive belt (1). Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .

  3. Object Number: 296146  Size: SH
  4. Remove the air conditioning belt tensioner bolt.
  5. Remove the air conditioning belt tensioner.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 296146  Size: SH
  1. Install the tensioner.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the tensioner bolt.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the tensioner bolt to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  5. Install the air conditioning drive belt (1). Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
  6. Install the accessory drive belt (5). Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .

  1. Remove the accessory drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 393963  Size: SH
  3. Remove the accessory drive belt tensioner bolts.
  4. Remove the accessory drive belt tensioner.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the tensioner.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application.     1. Tighten the lower tensioner bolt to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).
    2. Tighten the upper tensioner bolt to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).
