Tools Required

    • J 5590 Crankshaft Sprocket Installer
    • J 41546 Water Pump Driveshaft Installer
    • J 39089 Water Pump Driveshaft O-ring Seal Installer

    Object Number: 11504 Size: SH
  1. Install the key, if you removed it.
  2. Use the J 5590 in order to install the crankshaft sprocket.
  3. Use the J 41546 in order to install the water pump driveshaft.
  4. Install the water pump bearing retainer bolts.
  5. Tighten
Tighten the water pump driveshaft bearing retainer bolts to 12 N·m (106 lb in).

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  6. Install the camshaft sprocket and the timing chain. Ensure that the camshaft sprocket and the water pump driveshaft gears mesh.
