🢒 Shock Absorber Replacement
Removal Procedure
Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to
Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
.
Remove the wheel. Refer to
Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
.
Support the rear axle with a tall jack stand near the shock absorber.
Remove the upper and lower shock bolts.
Remove the shock from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
Position the shock absorber to the vehicle.
Notice:
Refer to
Fastener Notice
in the Preface section.
Install NEW upper and lower shock bolts.
Tighten
•
Tighten the upper bolt to 90 N·m (66 lb ft).
•
Tighten the lower bolt to 110 N·m (81 lb ft).
Remove the jack stand.
Install the wheel. Refer to
Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
.
Lower the vehicle.
