🢒 Coaxial Cable Replacement
Removal Procedure
Open the passenger door.
Remove the passenger side carpet retainer. Refer to
Carpet Retainer Replacement
in Interior Trim.
Remove the center pillar lower trim panel. Refer to
Center Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement
in Interior Trim.
Adjust the carpet for access to the wiring harness as required.
Disconnect the coaxial antenna cable (1) from the antenna extension lead (2).
Cut off the visible end of the coaxial antenna cable (1).
Open the rear compartment lid and pull back the carpet to expose the antenna base (3).
Disconnect the coaxial antenna lead (2) from the antenna base (3).
Cut off the visible end of the coaxial antenna cable (2).
Installation Procedure
Install the coaxial antenna cable into the vehicle.
Use electrical tape in order to secure the antenna extension cable to the top of the main wiring harness.
Make sure that the cable is secured to the harness at least every 150 mm (6 in).
Connect the coaxial antenna lead (2) to the antenna base (3).
Reposition the carpet and close the rear compartment lid.
Connect the coaxial antenna cable (1) to the antenna extension lead (2) .
Reposition the carpet to cover the main body wiring harness and coaxial cable.
Install the center pillar lower trim panel. Refer to
Center Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement
in Interior Trim.
Install the passenger side carpet retainer. Refer to
Carpet Retainer Replacement
in Interior Trim.
Close the passenger door.
