Removal Procedure
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting and Jacking in General Information in the 1999 C/K Truck Service Manual.

    2. Object Number: 293483 Size: SH
  2. Remove the left and right cables from the equalizer.

    3. Object Number: 293489 Size: SH
  3. Remove the front and rear cables from the mounting bracket.

    4. Object Number: 293490 Size: SH
  4. Remove the park brake bracket.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 293490 Size: SH
  1. Install the park brake bracket.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the park brake bracket nuts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  2. Install the front and rear cables into the mounting bracket.

    3. Object Number: 293483 Size: SH
  3. Connect the left rear and right rear cables into the equalizer.
  4. Lower the vehicle.
