Removal Procedure
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery.
  2. Move the front seats rearward.

    3. Object Number: 293474 Size: SH
  3. Unsnap the park brake lever cover.
  4. Remove the park brake lever cover.

    5. Object Number: 293475 Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the park brake warning lamp switch connector.
  6. Remove the following components from the park brake assembly:
    7. • The screw
    • The park brake warning lamp switch
  7. Remove the release spring from the park brake assembly.

    8. Object Number: 293476 Size: SH
  8. Remove the following components from the bracket:
    9. • The nuts
    • The park brake assembly

    Object Number: 293477 Size: SH
  9. Bend the cable retaining tab away from the cable.
  10. Rotate the ratchet assembly in order to disconnect the park brake cable.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 293477 Size: SH
  1. Connect the park brake cable to the ratchet assembly.
  2. Bend the cable retaining tab over the cable.

    3. Object Number: 293476 Size: SH
  3. Install the park brake assembly to the bracket using the nuts.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the park brake assembly nuts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  4. Install the release spring to the park brake assembly.

    5. Object Number: 293475 Size: SH
  5. Install the park brake warning lamp switch to the park brake assembly using the screw.

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the park brake warning lamp switch screw to 2.8 N·m (25 lb in).

  6. Connect the park brake warning lamp switch connector.

    7. Object Number: 293474 Size: SH
  7. Install the park brake lever cover.
  8. Connect the negative battery cable to the battery.

    9. Tighten
    Tighten the park brake warning lamp switch screw to 17 N·m (13 lb ft).
