Accessory Brackets Replacement Generator Mounting Bracket

Removal Procedure

    Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.

  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Cable Replacement in Engine Electrical.

  2. Object Number: 71667  Size: SH
  3. Remove the engine cooling fan. Refer to Fan Replacement in Engine Cooling.
  4. Remove the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
  5. Remove the generator. Refer to Generator Replacement in Engine Electrical.

  6. Object Number: 43854  Size: SH
  7. Remove the wire harness retaining clip from the generator mounting bracket.
  8. Remove the drive belt tensioner. Refer to Drive Belt Tensioner Replacement .
  9. Remove the drive belt idler pulley. Refer to Drive Belt Idler Pulley Replacement .
  10. Remove the two generator mounting bracket bolts/nut from the engine.
  11. Slide the bracket off of the stud.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Slide the bracket on the stud.
  2. Install the two generator mounting bracket bolts/nut.
  3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts and nut to 66 N·m (49 lb ft).

  4. Install the drive belt tensioner. Refer to Drive Belt Tensioner Replacement .
  5. Install the drive belt idler pulley. Refer to Drive Belt Idler Pulley Replacement .
  6. Install the wire harness retaining clip to the generator mounting bracket.
  7. Install the generator. Refer to Generator Replacement in engine electrical.

  9. Install the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
  10. Install the engine cooling fan. Refer to Fan Replacement in Engine Cooling.
  11. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Cable Replacement in engine electrical.

Accessory Brackets Replacement P S Pump Mounting Bracket

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 71667  Size: SH
  1. Remove the engine cooling fan. Refer to Fan Replacement in engine cooling.
  2. Remove the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement in Engine Mechanical.
  3. Important: Do not evacuate the air conditioning system.

  4. Remove the mounting bolts for the air conditioning compressor, if equipped. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement in HVAC.
  5. Move the compressor aside and support.
  6. Remove the drive belt idler pulley, if not equipped with A/C. Refer to Drive Belt Idler Pulley Replacement in Engine Mechanical.
  7. Remove the power steering pump pulley. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement in Power Steering Systems.

  9. Remove the rear power steering pump bracket to front power steering pump mounting bracket bolt.
  10. Remove the power steering pump mounting bracket to power steering pump bolts.
  11. Remove the front power steering pump mounting bracket bolts/nut
  12. Slide the bracket off the stud and power steering pump.

Installation Procedure

  1. Slide the mounting bracket on the stud and the power steering pump.
  2. Install the front power steering pump mounting bracket bolts and the nut.
  3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts and nut to 66 N·m (49 lb ft).

  4. Install the power steering pump mounting bracket to power steering pump bolts.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  6. Install the rear power steering pump bracket to front power steering pump mounting bracket bolt.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  8. Install the power steering pump pulley. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement in Power Steering Systems.
  9. Install the air conditioning compressor, if equipped. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement in HVAC systems with A/C-Manual.
  10. Install the drive belt idler pulley if not equipped with A/C. Refer to Drive Belt Idler Pulley Replacement in Engine Mechanical.
  11. Install the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement in Engine Mechanical.
  12. Install the engine cooling fan. Refer to Fan Replacement in Engine Cooling.
