Removal Procedure
- Remove the rear seat from the vehicle. Refer to Rear Bench Seat Replacement .
- Remove the headrests (2). Refer to Rear Seat Head Restraint Replacement .
- Release the seat back trim cover J-clip. Pull back the trim cover in order to expose the seat back side bolts (1).
- Remove the seat back side bolts.
- Remove the seat back frame from the seat.
- Pull up the trim cover in order to expose the head rest guides (1).
- Remove the head rest guides.
- Remove the trim cover (4).
- Separate the foam pad (3) from the seat back frame.
- Remove the seat back frame from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Attach the foam pad (3) to the seat back frame.
- Pull the trim cover (4) over the seat.
- Install the head rest guides (1).
- Install the side bolts (1).
- Connect the seat back trim cover J-clip.
- Install the headrests (1). Refer to Rear Seat Head Restraint Replacement .
- Install the rear seat in the vehicle. Refer to Rear Bench Seat Replacement .
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).
