Removal Procedure
- Remove the rear seat. Refer to
Rear Bench Seat Replacement
.
- Release the J clip on the rear of the seat cushion
and pull back the trim cover far enough to expose the side bolts (2).
- Remove the cushion side bolts.
- Disconnect the seat pull strap cable (3).
- Remove the cushion from the seat.
- Using a side motion, pull the remainder of the trim cover off
the cushion.
- Separate the foam pad from the cushion frame.
Installation Procedure
- Attach the foam pad onto the cushion.
- Carefully pull the trim cover over the cushion.
- Connect the seat pull strap cable (3).
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Before the cover is fully pulled over the frame, install the cushion
side bolts (2) in order to attach the seat cushion to the seat.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).
- Pull the trim cover over the remainder of the cushion.
- Attach the J-clip on the rear of the seat cushion.
Ensure proper routing of the seat pull strap cable.
- Install the rear seat into the vehicle. Refer
