Removal Procedure
- Recover the refrigerant. Refer toRefrigerant
Recovery and Recharging

- Remove the upper radiator baffle.
- Remove the evaporator
pipe from the evaporator.
- Remove the air conditioning (A/C) compressor hose from the condenser.

- Remove the evaporator pipe from the condenser.
- Remove the evaporator pipe.
- Discard all of the used sealing washers. Cap all of the open connections.
Installation Procedure
- Install the evaporator pipe using new sealing washers.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the evaporator
pipe to the condenser.
Tighten
Tighten the nut to 16 N·m (12 lb ft).
- Install the air conditioning compressor hose to the condenser.

- Install the evaporator
pipe to the evaporator.
Tighten
Tighten the nut to 16 N·m (12 lb ft).
- Install the upper radiator baffle.
