Always road test the vehicle first in order to verify the customer concern. Allow for road surface imperfections and for road crown when road testing a vehicle. The test route chosen must resemble the average surface the customer utilizes in order to duplicate the concern.

Proceed with the following preliminary inspections. Correct any substandard conditions that you find.

Inspect for the following:

    • The wrong tire pressure
    • Uneven wear on the tires
    • Loose connections.
    • Wear on the joints from the steering column to the steering gear
    • Loose or damaged parts on the front suspension
    • Loose or damaged parts on the rear suspension
    • Loose or damaged parts on the steering gear
    • Loose or damaged parts on the steering linkage
    • Out-of-round tires
    • Tire imbalance
    • Damaged wheels
